Balayage
Balayage isn't a formula — it's a freehand technique. By painting colour exactly where the light would naturally hit, we build brightness around the face and through the ends without the harsh regrowth line of traditional foils.
Owner and lead stylist Jess Greco trained as an artistic educator for a L'Oréal Professionnel brand, and blonding is where she's most at home. Whether you want a subtle face-frame or a full head of dimension, you'll leave with hair that's healthy, seamless, and low-maintenance.
What's Included
Every blonding service starts with a conversation about your hair goals, your history, and how much upkeep fits your life.
We look at your natural level, your inspiration photos, and your hair's condition before we mix a single bowl — so the plan is realistic and right for you.
Face-frame, partial, or full — colour is painted by hand for a natural, dimensional finish with no obvious regrowth line.
Every blonding service finishes with a gloss to perfect the tone, add shine, and kill any unwanted warmth or brassiness.
You leave with a smooth, polished blowout so you can see exactly how your new colour moves and falls.
Why Collingwood Hair Company
Blonding is a craft — here's why Collingwood trusts us with it.
Two decades of colour work and formal L'Oréal Professionnel education mean your blonde is built on real technical knowledge, not guesswork.
We use bond-protecting products and lift responsibly, so brightening your hair never means wrecking it. Integrity comes first.
Balayage is designed to soften as it grows, which means fewer touch-ups, less maintenance, and no panic when life gets busy.
No two heads of hair are the same. Your placement, tone, and brightness are mapped to your face, your lifestyle, and your natural colour.
FAQ
The things clients ask most before their first blonding appointment.
Most balayage appointments run 2.5 to 3.5 hours depending on your hair's length, density, and how much brightness you want. We'll give you a time estimate at your consultation so there are no surprises.
That's the beauty of balayage — because it grows out softly, most clients stretch it to every 3 to 4 months, with a gloss or toner in between if they want to refresh brightness.
We lift responsibly with bond-protecting products and won't push your hair further than it can safely go. If a look needs to be built over more than one visit to keep your hair healthy, we'll tell you honestly.
Highlights are woven into foils for a more uniform, all-over brightness; balayage is hand-painted for a softer, more natural, lived-in result. Not sure which suits you? Book a complimentary consultation and we'll guide you.
